Captain Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 29 October 2026 | Governing driver-partners operating on the DUGDUG platform.

This Captain Agreement ("Agreement") governs the enrollment and ongoing partnership of independent vehicle owners, drivers, and fleet operators ("Captains" or "Partners") providing transportation services through the DUGDUG platform, owned and operated by Mittimart Commerce Private Limited (GSTIN: 09AAUCM1902G1ZB).

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

The Captain operates as an independent contractor and not as an employee, agent, or legal partner of Mittimart Commerce Private Limited. The Captain retains the liberty to choose their hours of availability, accept or decline ride requests, and log on or off the platform at their sole discretion.

2. Document & Eligibility Obligations

To be approved and maintain active status on the DUGDUG platform, the Captain must furnish and maintain valid copies of:

  • Valid Indian Driving Licence (commercial category where required by local transport law).
  • Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) in the name of the captain or authorized lease contract.
  • Valid Third-Party Vehicle Insurance policy.
  • Valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate and vehicle fitness certificate.
  • Government identity and address proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport).

3. Safety Standards & Passenger Care

  • Helmets on Two-Wheelers: On Bike Taxi trips, the Captain must wear an ISI-marked helmet and ensure the pillion passenger wears the provided clean, sanitized helmet.
  • Zero Tolerance on Intoxication: Operating under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any impairing prescription substance is strictly prohibited and leads to immediate permanent deboarding and referral to police authorities.
  • Respectful Conduct: Captains must maintain professional courtesy and refrain from asking intrusive personal questions or soliciting off-platform cash transactions.

4. Platform Fees & Daily Payouts

Mittimart charges a competitive platform facilitation fee on completed rides. Captain earnings (net of platform fees) are remitted on a daily basis via Direct Bank Transfer (IMPS/NEFT) or UPI. Captains are responsible for their individual income tax filing and motor vehicle operating expenses (fuel, vehicle maintenance, and tolls).

5. Termination & Suspension

Mittimart reserves the right to suspend or deactivate a Captain's access to the platform immediately in cases of document expiry, unsafe driving complaints, verified passenger harassment, or failure to meet platform safety ratings.
